UW professor and media literacy

22 February 2011

In the midst of the current political-economic debate in Wisconsin, Professor Greg Downey at the University of Wisconsin-Madison teaches media literacy using this debate. In his blog post, he offers helpful and thoughtful guidelines for students who are struggling with the current issues. I think that his excellent guidelines are also applicable to broad contexts of our everyday information seeking for becoming informed citizens and fully participating in our communities.  His concluding remark is quite inspiring! I highly recommend my students to read his guidelines here.
